In our digitally networked world, embedded processing solutions form the central foundation of electronic systems.
Microcontrollers (MCUs), microprocessors (MPUs), AI accelerators or system-on-modules (SoMs) enable data processing directly in the device or system in which they are integrated – i.e. “embedded”.

Individually configurable FPGAs offer maximum flexibility for specialized applications and allow the integration of intelligent functions – even in low-volume projects.

Semitec also classifies image sensors as part of the Embedded Processing Technology segment, as they rely on the computing power of MCUs, MPUs or FPGAs to capture and evaluate image data.
